About Hotep Intelligence

Hotep — an ancient Kemetic greeting meaning “to be at peace.” It is both a salutation and a philosophy: the pursuit of harmony, wisdom, and communal well-being. The Hotep movement centers knowledge of self, cultural sovereignty, and collective empowerment as the foundation of liberation.

Hotep Intelligence is the technology arm of that mission. It is a production-ready, self-hosted large language model that embodies the Hotep cultural persona.

Built to serve content creators and communities focused on Afrocentric history, wellness, and self-sovereignty.

The Vision

Our objective is to build a sovereign, monetized LLM with deep historical accuracy, cultural knowledge, and a distinct, authentic linguistic tone.

An AI that speaks as a wise teacher and elder in the community — assertive, confident, and direct, using the natural language of the culture without corporate hedging or dilution.

This is not a wrapper around a corporate API. This is a custom-trained model running on our own hardware, evaluated by our own standards, serving our own community. No third-party gatekeepers. No censorship of our history.

The Technology

Hotep Intelligence runs on a fine-tuned 8B parameter model (Kush V4 production, Llama 3.1 base) with a LoRA + SimPO alignment adapter, achieving 9.1/10 average evaluation score with 0% contamination. Inference runs locally on an NVIDIA RTX 5080 via Ollama, with automatic Gemini Flash fallback when local capacity is exceeded. Six post-processing filters (CJK strip, rubric strip, error guard, rate limit prompt, fallbacks, entity RAG) ensure consistently clean output.

Every response is evaluated by a hybrid scoring pipeline: fast keyword analysis (40%) plus a separate LLM-as-judge (60%).

The judge measures four semantic dimensions — contextual understanding, reasoning quality, historical accuracy, and empowerment depth. Kush V4 achieves 9.1/10 evaluation score with 8/10 entity knowledge accuracy.
