About Hotep Intelligence

Hotep — an ancient Kemetic greeting meaning “to be at peace.” It is both a salutation and a philosophy: the pursuit of harmony, wisdom, and communal well-being. The Hotep movement centers knowledge of self, cultural sovereignty, and collective empowerment as the foundation of liberation.

Hotep Intelligence is the technology arm of that mission. It is a production-ready, self-hosted large language model that embodies the Hotep cultural persona.

Built to serve content creators and communities focused on Afrocentric history, wellness, and self-sovereignty.

The Vision

Our objective is to build a sovereign, monetized LLM with deep historical accuracy, cultural knowledge, and a distinct, authentic linguistic tone.

An AI that speaks as a wise teacher and elder in the community — assertive, confident, and direct, using the natural language of the culture without corporate hedging or dilution.

This is not a wrapper around a corporate API. This is a custom-trained model running on our own hardware, evaluated by our own standards, serving our own community. No third-party gatekeepers. No censorship of our history.

The Technology

Hotep Intelligence currently runs on Kush V82, the validated production model served from the Mac Mini runtime through Ollama and local retrieval services. On September 7, the Kush V9 candidate loaded through llama.cpp with the correct Llama 3.1 chat template, but Prime Agent E2E showed it did not beat V82 and still missed hard entity recall cases.

Every response is evaluated by a hybrid scoring pipeline: fast keyword analysis (40%) plus a separate LLM-as-judge (60%).

The judge measures four semantic dimensions — contextual understanding, reasoning quality, historical accuracy, and empowerment depth. Current V9.1 tuning work focuses on entity recall, response speed, and stronger promotion gates for live community references.

Technical Infrastructure

• ◆ Gamification — XP system with 15+ achievement badges, daily streaks, and a referral program with bonus messages. Every interaction earns progress toward cultural mastery.
• ◆ Deep Research Mode — The /deep command activates enhanced RAG for complex questions, searching more extensively and providing source-attributed answers.
• ◆ Quality Assurance — 465+ automated tests, Prometheus monitoring with 5 RAG metrics, and domain-driven architecture ensure production reliability. A 7-agent autonomous improvement swarm continuously evaluates and improves response quality.
• ◆ Downtime Compensation — Automatic tracking and refund calculation for any service interruptions. Transparency and accountability are principles of Ma'at.
